Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Ink Cartridge Error for HP 9015e Printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Replacing an ink cartridge but still seeing a "depleted" message can be frustrating. Here are some steps you can take to resolve the issue:
Check Cartridge Compatibility:
- Ensure the cartridge is compatible with the HP OfficeJet 9015e. It should be an HP 962 or HP 962 XL cartridge.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
Reinstall the Cartridge:
- Open the printer’s cartridge access door and remove the ink cartridge.
- Inspect the cartridge for any protective tape or packaging that may still be attached and remove them if present.
- Reinstall the cartridge firmly into the correct slot until it clicks into place.
Clean Electrical Contacts:
- Turn off the printer.
- Remove the ink cartridge and clean the copper-colored contacts on the cartridge and in the printhead with a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.
- Allow the contacts to dry for a few minutes before reinstalling the cartridge.
Check for Updated Firmware:
- Make sure your printer firmware is up to date. You can check for updates via the HP Smart app or the printer's embedded web server.
Perform Printer Maintenance:
- Use the printer’s control panel to run a printhead cleaning and alignment cycle.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
