Does anyone have any idea why the 902 inkjet cartridges are basically non existent?  I'm trying to find a 902XL combination 4 pack and no one will admit to having them available for sale.  I can find some, but not all 4, of the colors as individuals.  Any ideas on this one?

True, a quick check of the HP Store does show two xl and regular colors out of stock (yellow and cyan).

If you are really in need right now, the "Economy" sizes of these two colors are (at this writing) still available as is the "four pack"  X4E05AN#140

Search for 902

I would strongly guess it is one of two issues:

  • The manufacturing is behind.
  • The delivery to the warehouse(s) where products is stored is unable receive the manufactured products.

Why?

If you lived in the West Coast, you might suspect the latter - the many areas are covered in smoke - some areas are so bad that it is possible that products are not able to get to their destinations.

What else?

You might be able to find something at your local retail outlets.

If the problem is one of hoarding (not unheard of), check private sellers - eBay or whatever source is acceptable to you.

I'm in the same boat.  I have an OfficeJet Pro 6789 and need more ink (my Cyan is running low).  I can't find 902XL cartridges anywhere.  I've looked everywhere:  Staples, Office Depot, Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Amazon.  You name it, no one has it.  Any stock I can find is either Black or Magenta.  No Cyan.  I, usually, prefer to buy the XL 5-pack (most bang for the buck).  No one has that, either.  Why is there no product to be found?  When will this be available again?

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.

There is absolutely no way for us to know when / if any product will be "in stock" at HP or any other merchant.

We are a volunteer workforce - people like yourself, in fact - users and owners of HP technology and devices.

The only thing I can suggest is that you contact the Store and see if Customer Service has any information.
