I purchased new HP951 3 color pack ink cartridges for my 8620 printer. Purchased from staples a few months ago. When I installed them they say the cartridges are depleted or not genuine hp cartridges. How do I contact HP to get replacements?

Hi @SLK_ ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing a cartridge problem issue with your HP Officejet Pro 8620 e-All-in-One Printer series there are a couple of troubleshooting steps you can try before contacting HP for replacements:

  1. Check Cartridge Installation:
  • Make sure the cartridges are securely snapped into place in their designated slots.
  • Remove and re-install the cartridges, ensuring any protective tape or seals are removed completely.
  1. Clean Cartridge Contacts:
  • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  • Remove the cartridges.
  • With a lint-free cloth dampened with distilled water, gently clean the electrical contacts on both the cartridges and the printer.
  • Let the contacts dry completely before reinserting the cartridges and powering on the printer.
  1. Reset the Printer Power:
  • Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet (avoiding power strips).
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer and turn it on.
