I purchased a 2 pack of HP 952XL black cartridges at Costco. The second cartridge now says it is "expired" in my printer. How can I make this work in my printer HP Officejet Pro 8710? Pretty sure this has to do with a firmware update I recently applied to the printer. Please help me fix this or please send me a replacement cartridge. Ink this expensive should not be having these fake issues. The ink is totally fine.

I’m here to help you troubleshoot your issue and get things back on track. Just follow these steps below, and we’ll have you running smoothly in no time:
- Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source for about 30 seconds.
- Plug it back in and turn the printer on.
- Check the cartridge for any expiration date label or seal that may have been overlooked. Even if it appears fine, this could be a helpful clue.
- Remove and reseat the cartridge in its correct slot.
- Check for firmware update issues:
- Go to your printer's control panel.
- Navigate to the Settings > Printer Maintenance section.
- Select Update Printer or Check for Updates to ensure your firmware is the latest.
- If the problem persists, reset the printer's firmware:
- Find the Firmware Update setting in the printer's menu and manually revert to a previous version, if possible.
- Try resetting the cartridge chip: Gently wipe the chip on the cartridge with a lint-free cloth and then reinserting it.
Could you please send the photos of the error message and the cartridge you're using, along with the expiration date, in a private message?
