HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 All-in-One Printer

Bought two pack of 952xl cartridges from Costco. Installed one to replace the factory cartridge some time ago. Today I peel back the packaging and replace the old “mostly empty” cartridge with the new. Brand new cartridge. The printer states the old cartridges will not work anymore. Now I am out money due to engineered obsolescence. Extremely frustrated knowing there is no warning on the packaging that these cartridges need to be used before the “expiry date”. This was not labeled as the “use before date”.  I am now without a working printer due to this. Sub standard communication. Send me a private message and replace the brand new cartridge with a brand new cartridge. Thanks HP.

Thanks for getting back to me in a timely manner HP!  (Sarcasm free of charge)

My new OEM ink cartridges do not function. I would not have purchased if I had known there was a clock ticking away on the product.

Provide me a solution to get these working or send me new ink cartridges.

This is BS, I just ran into this.  There is ink in the cartridge, just print using the ink.  These cartridges worked before.  They will work again.  Just remove the if ( current_date > expired_date ) check in the firmware.  For all the hours I've given to HP over the years, this is bogus.  I'm not even sure I can buy a cartridge that works anymore.  Are you telling me I need a new printer?

Frustrated.
