HI, I'VE TRIED TO REALIGNE MY DESKJET PRINTER 37 TIMES AND THE RESULTS ARE ALWAYS THE SAME:
PRINTING OUT A TEXT WHICH IS ILLEGIBLE. I'VE RESET IT, CHECKED THE INK, CLEANED, UNPLUGGED AND REPLUGGED THE PRINTER, NO LUCK. HELP!

Hi @feuille,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds really frustrating that your DeskJet printer won't align properly despite all your efforts! Here are some additional steps you can try.
- Check for Firmware Updates: Make sure your printer's firmware is up to date. You can usually find updates on the HP website or through the HP Smart app.
- Use Genuine HP Ink Cartridges: If you’re using third-party ink, try switching back to genuine HP cartridges, as compatibility can sometimes affect print quality and alignment.
- Run the Printer Diagnostic Tool: HP provides a diagnostic tool that can help identify issues with your printer. You can download it from the HP support website.
- Align via Software: Instead of using the printer's control panel, try aligning the printer through the HP Smart app or your computer's printer settings.
- Print Quality Diagnostic Page: Print a quality diagnostic page to see if the printer is producing clear text and colors. This can help identify if the issue is with the alignment or the ink delivery.
- Check the Carriage and Printhead: Ensure that the printhead moves freely and that there are no obstructions. If the printhead is removable, consider taking it out and checking for clogs or debris.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
