Hi, from one day to another the printer showed me also on the printer website that all colors are empty. red, blue and yellow. black is fine and he is able to print, but i can not believe that all colors are randomly complete empty from one day to another, even when i didnt print color pages.

 

i have updated firmware and downloaded and executed print doctor. i also put out the cartridges and put them back in again. didnt helped

 

also on the status page, he showed for every color on the status bar only a exclamation mark and "--%"

Even if you print mostly black pages, some toner is consumed when the printer performs print quality calibrations so it is possible to exhaust the color cartridges even though you are not really printing in color and one of the reasons that I always recommend that customers be sure they need color before purchasing a color machine because replacing all three colors at once can be a $$$ shock. If you have an accurate scale you could weigh the different color cartridges to see if they all weigh the same. The black cartridge weight is different so you cannot really compare.
