Hi @Venkatesh_12345,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are encountering an issue where none of the ink tanks in your HP Smart Tank 580 All-in-One Printer are filling, it can be frustrating. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Step-by-Step Troubleshooting:

Check Ink Bottles:

  • Ensure that the ink bottles are not empty and that you are using the correct HP ink bottles for your printer model.

Bottle Positioning:

  • Make sure you are properly inserting the ink bottle into the tank. The bottle should be inserted firmly and straight into the tank opening. Sometimes, tilting or incorrect positioning can prevent the ink from flowing.

Remove Protective Seals:

  • Confirm that any protective seals or covers on the ink bottle have been removed. Ink bottles often come with a seal that needs to be removed before the ink can flow.

Ventilation:

  • Check if there is any obstruction in the bottle cap vent. Sometimes the ink bottle has a vent to allow air to enter while ink flows out. If this vent is blocked, ink may not flow.

Ink Tank Cap:

  • Ensure that the cap on the ink tank is fully open and not blocking the entry point.

Tilt the Printer:

  • Sometimes tilting the printer slightly can help to start the flow of ink, especially if there is an airlock.

Priming the Ink System:

  • Follow the printer’s manual or on-screen instructions for priming the ink system. Some printers have a specific procedure for this to ensure the ink flows correctly from the bottles to the tanks.

Reset the Printer:

  • Try resetting the printer. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a minute, then plug it back in and turn it on again.

Check for Firmware Updates: Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Ensure your printer’s firmware is up-to-date. Sometimes firmware updates can resolve initial setup issues.

Tips for Filling Ink Tanks:

  • Gentle Handling: Handle the ink bottles gently to avoid creating air bubbles which can obstruct the flow.
  • Clean Surroundings: Ensure that the area around the tank openings is clean to prevent any dirt from blocking the ink flow.
  • Consistent Pressure: Maintain consistent pressure while inserting the ink bottle to ensure a steady flow of ink.

Common Mistakes to Avoid:

  • Incorrect Bottles: Using non-HP or incorrect ink bottles can cause filling issues.
  • Partial Opening: Partially opening the ink bottle cap or tank cap can obstruct ink flow.
  • Ignoring Instructions: Skipping steps in the setup instructions can lead to setup problems.
