HP Ink Tank 319
Microsoft Windows 11

Dear HP Support Team,

I am facing an issue with my HP Ink Tank 319 printer. When I try to print a color document, it only prints in pink and black, while yellow and blue colors are missing. I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps:

I have tried everything which steps were available on the virtual assistant desk, in the last step, where the printhead comes in middle and we hv to remove that pink printhead, I tried removing it but i failed, i thought I'll damage the product, so I closed everything

Despite these steps, the issue persists. I need assistance in resolving this problem. Please guide me on the next steps. Also, if there is a way to manually clean the printhead through my laptop, please let me know.

Looking forward to your response.

Best regards,

Aishwarya Sharma

@Aishwarya13, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your HP Ink Tank 319 Color Printing Issue

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Since your prints are only showing pink and black, it sounds like the yellow and blue ink might not be flowing properly. Here are a few things you can try:

Run a Printhead Cleaning Cycle from Your Laptop

You can do this through the HP Printer Assistant:

  • Open HP Printer Assistant on your laptop.
  • Go to Maintain Your Printer > Clean Printheads.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions and check if the missing colors start appearing.

You might need to run the cleaning cycle a couple of times for the ink to flow properly.

Check Ink Levels

  • If any of the ink tanks are running low, refill them to ensure proper ink flow.

Manually Clean the Printhead (If Needed)

I completely understand your concern about damaging the printhead while removing it. If you’re uncomfortable doing it yourself, I recommend reaching out to an HP-certified technician. However, if you'd like to give it another try, here’s a safe way to do it:

  • Gently lift the printhead latch and carefully remove the affected printhead (yellow/cyan).
  • Wipe the nozzle area with a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.
  • Reinsert the printhead and close the latch securely.

Perform a Test Print

After trying the above steps, print a test page to check if the colors are back.

Let me know how it goes!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
