HP office jet pro 8025 BLUE ink will not print.   It is only the BLUE that has completely failed, regardless of multiple attempts of all steps from similar article on this site, including replacing half-used cartridges with new. My model 8025e does not allow removal of print head for manual cleaning; so how can the nozzle be cleaned?  Attempted to "clean print heads" in printer tools 10 times, no help.
This has been a good, solid printer with excellent color and ease of use.
Now all of a sudden it is junk. Help me NOT send this to a landfill.

Hi @bjc222,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand the blue ink on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e is not printing, and cleaning the printheads via the printer tools has not resolved the issue. Here are additional steps you can take:

Check for Firmware Updates: Ensure your printer's firmware is up-to-date. Sometimes, issues with printing can be resolved with a firmware update. You can check for updates via the HP App – For HP Printers, Laptops, and Tech Accessories | HP® Official Site or directly on the printer's control panel.

Use Genuine HP Ink Cartridges: Ensure that you are using genuine HP ink cartridges. Non-genuine or refilled cartridges can sometimes cause print quality issues.

Perform a Power Reset:

  • Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds and then reconnect the power cord.
  • Turn the printer back on and try printing again.

Print Quality Report:

  • Access the printer’s control panel and print a quality diagnostic report.
  • This will help identify if the issue is indeed with the blue ink cartridge or if there are other printhead issues.

Align Printheads:

  • Sometimes misalignment can cause print quality issues. Use the printer software to perform a printhead alignment.

Vent and Contact Cleaning:

  • Inspect the vent area on the blue ink cartridge for any blockages and ensure it's properly vented.
  • Although the printhead cannot be removed, inspect the area for any visible ink residue or blockages.

Repeat the Cleaning Sequence:

  • Sometimes multiple cleaning cycles are needed. If you’ve done this already ten times, proceed with caution, as excessive cleaning can waste ink.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I did all those steps: aligned, updated, removed cord, cleaned heads until an entire set of cartridges went empty...  I LOVE this printer and hate to see it go, but I have to move on so bought another printer and trashed this one.  This broken printer (HP8020) has had such good quality and performance; but its replacement (HP8125e) isn't as good quality output.
