I have a new HP branded 62xl ink cartridge just out of the package. I installed the cartridge and it is not recognized by the printer. I have a second new cartridge and installed it with no errors. My first cartridge is broken and under warranty (2022/02/22), how do I get it replaced or a credit for a replacement?

It is cartridge failure, please reach the phone support for replacement options.

Hi @Gilligan537,
I'd like to help!
May I have the exact model name of the product? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.
If you have already performed the steps from the document Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge and the issue persists, it could be a cartridge failure.
Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
Hope this helps!

Thank you for the response, but, it did not solve my issue. I stated in the original problem statement that the first new cartridge I tried was not accepted by the printer. I tried a second new cartridge and it worked as it should. Therefore, why would you think there is a hardware issue with the printer? If both had similar results I would agree, but, they did not. I ran through all the steps as listed on HP's webpage and experienced no change.
As the bad cartridge I have is under warranty, I'm looking for a replacement cartridge. If these things were cheap, I'd through it away, but, they are are not.
Again, thanks for the response.
