Hi there, have had really bad quality prints despite receiving and replacing cartridges via HP Instant Ink. Printer HP Photo Envy 6234. Alignment and trouble shooting didn't help. There could be something wrong with the black cartridge as this is showing 3/4 full and I only received and replaced the colour one recently - is there a chance to send the black one shortly to see if the issue resolves?

Please update the printer firmware:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/en6200_2143A/EN6200_2143A.exe

 

Perform up to 3 consecutive cleanings:
a. Load unused plain white A4 or letter size paper in the input tray.
b. On the printer control panel screen, from the Home screen, touch (Configure/setup ).
c. Tap Tools , then tap Clean Cartridges, and then follow the on-screen instructions.

 

Align the cartridges:
a. Load unused plain white A4 or letter size paper in the input tray.
b. On the printer control panel screen, from the Home screen, tap (Configure/setup).
c. Tap Tools , then tap Align Cartridges, and then follow the on-screen instructions.
5. Print a diagnostic page if the cartridges are low on ink.

Thanks so much for your response - have updated the software and done 3 levels of cleaning and alignment and the quality is still bad - printer says I should contact tech support, could you advise how I can do this please? Many thanks again! Yulia

It was bought in March 2019 with Instant Ink enrolment and I have monthly billing statements covering from that period - can't easily figure what the warranty terms are, unfortunately. Based in the UK. Thanks so much for looking into this, Yulia

Hi @GOLD_MASTER, 

Just wanted to check whether you could advise based on the date of purchase re warranty, don't know what the usual practice would be considering I'm paying for Instant Ink but unable to print. Do I cancel Instant Ink and try and fix the printer by myself? Would would you recommend?
