My Hp Deskjet 3510 gives me an error message :  Ink Cartridges Problem : Black Cartridge Problem.  I hate to waste money on ink cartridges when a new printer would be cheaper.  
I have tried everything from unplugging / plugging 5 times, pressing the power and X button, and cleaning everything inside.  Nothing helps. 

If the old cartridge is in, then the printer won't give me an error message until I try to print telling me that I'm out of ink.  Comparing the new cartridge with the old, I saw the chips are 2 alignments off.  

 

Can anyone help?

I see that you are facing cartridge issues.

 

To isolate the issue, I would request you to elaborate the defect you are referring to.
