HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I turned on my printer and noticed a message saying that my Black Ink is already depleted.

According to the printer stats:

Total engine page count* 251
Total pages printed 251
Total black-and-white pages printed 195
Total color pages printed 56
Total single-sided pages printed 72
Total double-sided pages printed 87

My issue is the Black Ink and even the Color Ink refill clearly states:

HP 962 Black Original Ink Cartridge, 3HZ99AN#140: "
Up to 1,000 pages"

The color ink cartridges even state 700 standard pages each. Right now they are all good for 300 left apparently but only the Black is "depleted". It seems I'm not getting the proper amount of pages according to their own product information.

So what's going on here? I'm not even close to a 1,000 pages. Is HP false advertising it's own ink products? Am I misunderstanding the whole page allowance per ink?

The ink cartridges that you got with the new printer in the box are SETUP cartridges and they print less pages than normal ink cartridges you buy later.
