Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The issue I am having with my Leaser Jet Pro MFP 281dfw is black toner marks and a black line running the length of the paper when printed. No other color is leaving marks but the black. I recently replaced the Black Cartridge with a new HP Black Cartridge. The black line runs on both sides of the paper in the same position. Could the cartridge be defective as the other colors are fine.

Bad cartridges do happen and if you are getting no defects in color then likely you have a bad cartridge. Remove black cartridge and look at the  blue/green drum on the bottom. If you see the same markings on the drum then I would replace the cartridge. Cartridges do have warranty so you should be able to get it replaced.
