HP ENVY 5014 All-in-One Printer
macOS 12.0 Monterey

Black cartridge HP65 "not communicating properly" with HP Envy 5014 . Have replaced with new cartridge and message persists.  We moved 140 miles and printer was wrapped and moved by professional movers along with other computer equipment, all of which is working normally. Wondering if moving process jarred it out of alignment and, if so, whether solution exists.

I understand you are not able to use the black ink cartridge. Make sure you are using HP inks.

 

Check if the ink cartridges are properly inserted in the printer, you may refer to - Replace HP inkjet printer cartridges

 

Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document - Ink cartridge error

 

If the issue persists with 2 different black ink cartridges,

  • I've sent you a private message with further instructions to get this issue sorted.
