On every copy from my printer (HP OfficeJetPro8035e), I am getting black horizontal lines. They started after I printed a mailing label, and I can’t get rid of them.

I have:

Rebooted my printer

Re-aligned the printer heads

Cleaned the printer heads x 2

This is what it looks like. What else can I do to get rid of this? Thank you. - cel

@problems333, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Clean Beneath the Printhead Carriage and Rollers (Manually)

Power off the printer and unplug it.

Open the access door and gently move the carriage to the center.

Use a lint-free cloth slightly damp with distilled water or isopropyl alcohol to clean:

The rubber rollers.

The underside where the printhead assembly moves back and forth (look for ink splatter or adhesive).

Let it dry for 10 minutes before plugging it back in.

Perform a Deeper Clean Cycle

On the printer’s screen:

Tap Setup (gear icon) > Printer Maintenance > Clean Printhead.

If there’s an option for “Level 2” or “Advanced Cleaning”, use that.

Do not overuse—only try this once or twice.

Check for Adhesive on Ink Cartridges

Remove the black ink cartridge and gently inspect its nozzle area.

If there’s any sticky residue or ink buildup, gently dab it with a lint-free cloth dampened with distilled water.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
