macOS 11.0 Big Sur

Hello. I have a MacBook Pro (2015) and just bought a used LaserJet Pro m402n that i need to get a job. I think it was a big mistake. First,  I had a horrible time installing the driver (that I was told by HP would work with Big Sur). Took me hours, and I have set up dozens of printers, of all kinds, in my day. When I print I am getting black horizontal faint lines every 1 3/16th of an inch. They start on the left side and fade away towards the middle. I did a machine clean (not a manual one). Been researching for 2 days and cannot find a solution. Tried to find a drum, and literally wasted hours on HP's site and others and found nothing. Not in the users manual. By accident, elsewhere, I found out that the the drum is built into the toner cartridge. Never heard of that. So there is plenty of toner, and the drum (I am assuming) is bad. Can it be repaired? Or, if I have to purchase a new cartridge (money is very tight right now), can I salvage the actual toner left int he cartridge (it is 8/10 full)? Watched many videos and ready many articles, but none were for printers in my series. THANK YOU!

If you received a defective toner with the new printer aks a seller for a toner replacement or a new printer. There is no reason why you should buy a new toner cartridge when the printer and toner cartridge are under manufacturer warranty.
