Hello,
My HP Officejet Pro 8025e has suddenly stopped producing black ink. When on a colored background with black ink it prints in white. I did at least 3 “Clean the printhead” cycles and the ink is sort of showing but it clearly stated to contact HP if after 3 tries it still isn’t working. The device exited warranty in January so it isn’t that old and I barely use it. Can someone help please?

Hi @Jake1210,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
There could be several reasons why your HP Officejet Pro 8025e printer is not printing black ink or is printing in white. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue.
- Check ink levels: Ensure that the black ink cartridge has sufficient ink levels. If it's low, replace the cartridge.
- Clean printhead: The printhead may be clogged with dried ink. Run the printer's built-in cleaning function to clean the printhead. If the problem persists, try cleaning the printhead manually. Consult the printer's manual for instructions on how to do this.
- Check printer settings: Make sure that the printer is set to print in black ink. If the printer is set to print in color or grayscale, it may not print in black ink.
- Reinstall the printer driver: Try reinstalling the printer driver on your computer. Sometimes, outdated or corrupted drivers can cause printing issues.
- Replace printhead: If none of the above steps work, the printhead may be damaged or worn out. Consider replacing the printhead.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
