Black ink is printing faded

I’ve tried all the troubleshooting and cleaning methods, however the black on printouts are still faded in some areas. I don’t have a problem with the colour, only the black ink. HP Instant Ink is showing that both cartridges are full and I don’t have a replacement to swap it with to see if it is just that cartridge.

Hello! One common reason for black ink traces on prints is due to the imaging drum running out. The imaging drum typically receives data wirelessly from the computer, especially in the case of wireless printers. When the drum runs out, it may extract unnecessary ink from the cartridge, resulting in spotty black ink marks. This is similar to paying $20 for a $10 burger - the printer extracts too much ink from the cartridge.

Basically you have to buy a new imaging drum.
