@Tvasquez090909, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your Black ink not printing!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

When facing issues with black ink not printing even after cleaning the printheads and replacing the cartridge, you can try the following steps based on the experience shared with an HP Latex printer:

Check for Printhead Alignment and Diagnostic Tests

  • Run a printhead check and alignment test to diagnose the printheads. This can help identify if the printheads are firing properly. If the diagnostic test shows missing nozzles, try to isolate which printhead might be creating the issue.

Inspect the Printhead and Maintenance Cartridge

  • Ensure the maintenance cartridge is not full. If it shows nearly full, it might be limiting the proper operation of the printheads.
  • Check the printer's maintenance cartridge for any issues and replace it if necessary.

Manual Cleaning of Printheads

  • Remove the black printhead and clean it manually. You can use distilled water and a lint-free cloth for cleaning.
  • Blot the printhead gently using the lint-free cloth soaked in distilled water without using alcohol, ensuring there are no residues or dirt left on the printhead's surface.

Re-Insert Printhead and Run Tests Again

  • After cleaning, place the printhead back into the printer and allow the printer to perform an automatic alignment test.
  • If one printhead starts working after the manual cleaning, repeat the same process for the other black printhead if the printer uses multiple printheads.

Verify Printer Settings and Software Issues

  • Confirm that the printer settings in your software are set correctly for black ink usage.
  • Ensure that the software is using black ink to print black (pure black hues turned on).

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
