HP Recommended

Got an office jet pro 6968 printer. Replaced the cartridges, cleaned the print head about a million times. 
After a while of continuous troubleshoots to no avail, I opened the printer again and saw the brand new black ink that I just replaced was pretty much empty and pooled ALL over the inside right corner of the printer. 
Not only have I wasted money on buying new cartridges and the printer itself, but I have also wasted ample time not solving the issue. 

Can someone PLEASE help me. Also. The pooled ink seemed rather thick and goopy. If that helps.
