HP DeskJet 2720e All-in-One Printer

Hi,

My black ink is not working, even when I have done tests. Reset printer, took ink out and put back in.

Could someone help me please  ?

The troubleshooting steps in the document here may help resolve black not printing on your HP Deskjet 2720e printer.  If the steps there do not resolve the issue I would suggest the following:

  • Remove the black cartridge and gently blot it on a damp tissue.  Does the cartridge leave a strong blot of black ink on the tissue?  If not make sure the protective tape has been removed from the cartridge.  [Do not touch the electrical contacts.]
  • If the issue persists then try soaking the printhead.  Get a large disposable cup and put 1" of hot water in the cup.  Place the cartridge with the nozzles facing downward (same orientation as in the printer) in the cup.  Let the cartridge soak for fifteen minutes, then remove and dry the electrical connections with a lint-free wipe.  Put the cartridge back in the printer and run one or more cleaning cycles.
