@TP151, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're experiencing an issue where black ink is only partially printing specifically, the bottom half of the text is missing even after replacing the cartridge and performing cleaning and alignment. Let's work through this together.
Check Ink Levels
Even new cartridges can sometimes be faulty. Please verify the estimated ink levels:
- On the printer control panel, go to Settings > Estimated Ink Levels.
Manually Clean the Printhead
If the issue persists, the printhead may be clogged. Here's how to clean it manually:
- Go to Settings > Tools > Clean Printhead on the printer.
- Run the cleaning cycle up to 2–3 times if needed.
Print a Diagnostic Page
This helps identify if the issue is with the hardware:
- On the printer, go to Settings > Reports > Print Quality Report.
- Check if the black ink section shows missing lines or streaks.
Check for Firmware Updates
Outdated firmware can cause printing issues:
- Visit: Official HP® Support
- Enter your printer model (HP ENVY 5030) and install any available firmware updates.
Try a Power Reset
Sometimes a simple reset can help:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the wall.
- Wait 60 seconds, then plug it back in and power it on.
Use Genuine HP Cartridges
Ensure you're using genuine HP 304 black ink cartridges. Non-HP or refilled cartridges can cause print quality issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
