Hello,
I have a printing problem with my Photosmart C4680 (software or hardware problem?).
When I print a text from my computer or anything that contain black color, the printout has a "shadow". It looks like the black ink is vertically offset. (See linked image of my alignment test printout.) I made all the alignment process, cleaned the transparent ribbon inside the printer and tried several other things and I still have the shadows/offsets on my printouts.
However, if I photocopy a document, all is perfect, no offset.
Can you help me please?
Thank you.

@Piergil, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I understand the print quality of black ink is not satisfactory. Have you used an alternate black ink cartridge and check if the issue persists?
Here, the test pages also have the same issue, it could be hardware-related. either the ink cartridge or the printer itself.
- Which application are you trying to print from?
- Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF, Word, or Webpages and check if the issue persists?
If you have tried the steps mentioned in this document - Fixing Print Quality Problems for the HP Photosmart C4600 and C4700 All-in-One Printer Series, and the issue persists, please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options.
You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.
Keep me posted for any other assistance.
