I've just changed the black ink on my printer as the old one started to go streaky on a run of more than a couple of pages, and the new black instant ink cartridge seems faulty.

At first it wouldn't print at all, but after putting the old cartridge in (which got some black printing on the page), reinserting the new one started it working but it's got void lines in the printing.

I've tried both levels of head cleaning several times but it refuses to work properly.

This is a photo of the most recent test page after a head clean.

The printer was fine up to this point and isn't that old (but out of warranty) so it suggests the cartridge is faulty. As I'm on instant ink, how do I go about getting a replacement, as I'd rather not have to replace the printer if I don't have to!

Thanks in advance,

Matt

@Sandytechy20 thanks for your reply - I've tried the cleaning routine a few times and no joy - the colour is printing fine, but not the black.

I've replied to your PM with my  Instant Ink details, look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks for your help

For anyone else coming to this post later on, a new black cartridge fixed the issue which HP resolved as above.
