I’m getting blanks after not using it for a couple months. Cartridges have ink in them and I have paper so I don’t know what to do.

Hi @1213Knighthawk ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing blank pages when trying to print with your HP DeskJet 2652 after a period of inactivity, follow these troubleshooting steps for the issue. Here's a step-by-step guide:

Check Ink Levels: Ensure that the ink cartridges have sufficient ink. You've mentioned that they have ink, but it's still good to double-check. You can do this through the printer software on your computer or directly on the printer's control panel.

Run Print Quality Diagnostic: Many printers, including HP DeskJet models, have a print quality diagnostic tool. Use this tool to check for issues with the print heads. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to run a print quality diagnostic.

Clean Print Heads: If the print heads are clogged, you may need to clean them. Most printers have a built-in cleaning utility. Again, refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to clean the print heads.

Align the Printer: Aligning the printer ensures that the print heads are properly aligned, which can improve print quality. Look for the alignment option in your printer's settings or consult the manual for instructions.

Update Printer Firmware: Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer. Firmware updates can sometimes resolve printing issues. You can usually find firmware updates on the HP Support.

Use Genuine HP Cartridges: Ensure that you are using genuine HP ink cartridges. Non-genuine cartridges may not provide the same print quality and can sometimes cause issues with the printer.

Check Paper Quality: Ensure that you are using the correct type of paper for your printer. Using low-quality or incompatible paper can result in printing issues.

Print a Test Page: Print a test page to see if the issue persists. This can help you determine whether the problem is specific to certain documents or if it's a general printing issue.

Inspect for Physical Obstructions: Check the printer for any physical obstructions that may be affecting the printing process, such as bits of paper or debris.

Reinstall Printer Drivers: If you're using a computer with the printer, try reinstalling the printer drivers. Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your operating system.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
