I have an HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e and it has stopped printing blue ink. I have cleaned and aligned the print heads several times with no improvement. I have also tried using a new cyan color cartridge, removed the print cartridge and cleaned according to instructions, checked for new firmware (it was up to date). I use genuine HP ink cartridges. I have printed the diagnostic page and the colors at the bottom are pink yellow pink yellow and orange! What else can I do?

Hi @bjr1115,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e is still not printing blue ink despite your efforts, you might try the following additional troubleshooting steps.
- Check for Blockages: Inspect the printhead for any visible blockages or ink buildup. Even if you’ve cleaned it, sometimes residues can still affect performance.
- Perform a Hard Reset: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on. Sometimes a full reset can resolve stubborn issues.
- Run the Printer's Built-in Diagnostic Tools: Some printers have built-in diagnostic tools that can help identify and resolve issues with printing colors. Check your printer's menu for any advanced diagnostic options.
- Check Ink Cartridge Installation: Ensure the new cyan cartridge is properly installed and seated correctly. Sometimes a cartridge can appear installed correctly but still not make proper contact.
- Try a Different Brand of Ink: Although you’re using genuine HP cartridges, occasionally issues can arise even with authentic ink. Trying a different brand might help if you suspect a problem with the specific cartridge batch.
- Clean the Contacts: Gently clean the electrical contacts on both the cartridge and the printer where the cartridge connects. Use a lint-free cloth or a cotton swab lightly moistened with distilled water. Ensure everything is completely dry before reinserting the cartridge.
- Check for Software or Driver Issues: Ensure that your printer driver is up to date and correctly installed. Sometimes software or driver issues can affect printing functions. Reinstalling or updating the driver might help.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
