I have an Officejet Pro 6978.  Just recently I noticed that the blue ink was not printing properly - all other colors were fine.  Aligned the machine and cleaned the heads via Printer Assistant - it didn't help.  The blue ink cartridge at this point was almost full.  So I got a new blue ink cartridge, installed it and still have the same issue.  Now I can't align the heads - when I try to scan the alignment sheet the printer tells me it can't read the sheet - there's a little blue ink printout on the alignment sheet but very little.  I've also done another deep clean on the heads.  Still doesn't work - I print something that should have blue color in it and it doesn't.  I've also made sure there's not a "venting" issue on the cartridges.  Still doesn't work.  Is there a way to fix this or should I just buy a new printer on Black Friday?
