Blue or cyan streaks

I have a Genuine HP Black cartridge and non-HP yellow, cyan, and magenta. Let's get that out of the way first. 🙂

The 477fdw has started to print blue and/or cyan vertical streaks from the very top to the very bottom of the page. They are not intermittent; they are straight lines that run from top to bottom. The streaks show up when I am printing a blank page, a page in B&W, and when I print color pages. Some color pages are heavily streaked while others have just a few. I can't deduce a pattern.

So far, I have updated the firmware, run two cleaning pages, and removed/reseated the cartridges.

Is it worth my while to buy HP cartridges at this point? Are they likely to help? Beyond that the next step is a repair tech.

The first step replace the cyan toner cartridge with a new one.

Just to add, if you remove the cartridge and look at the bottom for the green/blue drum you will often see excessive toner or scratches in the drum if it is leaking toner.
