@Janet1113, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your HP Tango!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

It sounds like the ink cartridges might not be properly primed or there could be a clog in the printhead. Here are some troubleshooting steps to fix the issue:

Check Ink Cartridges

  1. Make sure the protective tape has been removed from the ink cartridges.
  2. Reinsert the cartridges and ensure they are securely placed.

Run a Printhead Cleaning

  1. Open the HP Smart App on your phone or computer.
  2. Go to Printer Settings > Print Quality Tools > Clean Printhead.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions and try printing again.

Align the Printhead

  1. In the HP Smart App, go to Printer Settings > Align Printhead.
  2. Print the alignment page and follow the instructions.

Use the Correct Paper & Print Settings

  1. Ensure you're using the right paper type (e.g., plain paper for documents, photo paper for pictures).
  2. Check if the print settings are set to "Best" or "Normal" instead of "Draft" mode.

Manually Clean the Printhead

If the issue persists, manually clean the printhead:

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  2. Remove the ink cartridges.
  3. Dampen a lint-free cloth with distilled water and gently wipe the printhead contacts.
  4. Let it dry for a few minutes, then reinstall the cartridges and restart the printer.

Let me know how it goes!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
