Hello, since the tanks are empty, the printer won't even move the gear. So the trick of switching it off to be able to access the cartridges does not work anymore.  So it is not possible anymore to exchange? Is this planned obsolescence?
Next I will get me the saw to make it accessible, fraudsters!

Hi @Edotfried,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Replace Ink Cartridges:

  • Ensure you have replacement cartridges ready.
  • Turn off the printer completely and unplug it from the power source.
  • Gently open the ink cartridge access door.
  • If the cartridge carriage does not move automatically, try to gently move it to the center with power off, being very careful not to damage the printer.

Reset the Printer:

  • Unplug the printer from the power outlet.
  • Wait about 60 seconds before plugging it back in.
  • Turn the printer back on and see if the carriage moves to the cartridge access area.

Ensure Proper Power Supply:

  • Verify that the power cable is properly connected and that the power source is functional.

Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions:

  • Make sure there are no paper jams or other obstructions preventing the carriage from moving.

I hope this helps.
