HP ENVY 6455e All-in-One Printer

Hi All. I just replaced my original cartridges with compatible non-HP ones... unfortunately, it won't recognize them and says I have to use HP ones to print. Meanwhile, it prints the Information and Status Report pages just fine - so I know they work!!

Is there any way to bypass this -- I have looked at every setting online and the HP Smart app... I've read a few other forums that recommended turning off "cartridge protection", which I have done... and that did not help.

Any support is greatly appreciated!

According to the document here:

This printer is intended to work only with cartridges that have new or reused HP
electronic circuitry, and it uses dynamic security measures to block cartridges using
modified or non-HP circuitry. Periodic firmware updates will maintain the
effectiveness of these measures and block cartridges that previously worked. Reused
HP electronic circuitry enables the use of reused, remanufactured, and refilled
cartridges. More at: http://www.hp.com/learn/ds

I would suggest contacting your supplier for a suitable replacement.
