I am trying to setup my HPDeskjet 4120e and I am getting an error when it try's to finish the setup it tells me to use the setup cartridges that came with the printer only issue was they were missing the copper contacts so won't work. I purchased new cartridges but it won't let me finish the setup as it keeps asking for the setup cartridges. How can i finish the setup so i can use the printer without the setup cartridges ?

@Mick1903, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
I understand the setup ink cartridges were damaged. We need to perform a factory reset on the printer to resolve this issue.
- The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
- I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
- In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage
Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.
