HP OfficeJet - 3830

I inherited this printer from my Dad.   Really, He passed away recently.  I did the quick setup at home and it has been printing fine for a week or more, till today when a nasty little message popped up on the little computer screen basically saying what the title of this post is.  Please, I have followed directions to the letter and cannot get the printer to even print out a code that the enrollment process is asking for..... please help, I am really losing it.

My condolences on the loss of your father.

Instant Ink cartridges can only be used while the printer is enrolled in Instant Ink. I would suggest you contact Instant Ink support.  You will probably need to cancel the previous account.  If you want to enroll yourself in Instant Ink the agents should be able to help with that.  If not, you can cancel the previous account and then purchase retail cartridges to replace the Instant Ink cartridges.

Go to the HP Instant Ink site, the phone number (or chat option for some countries) will be listed in the lower middle of the opening screen.
