hp officejet 4620 it is old one but it was working. When I changed one cartrige  it shows "on or more cartrige  missing "  and doesn't show ink in cartriges

i am sorry to hear that getting one or more cartridge missing" error after changing a cartridge on your HP OfficeJet 4620 can be frustrating. 

 

Verify Cartridge Installation

  • Reinstall Cartridges: Open the cartridge access door and remove the cartridges from the printer. Reinsert them carefully, ensuring each cartridge clicks into place securely.

Check Cartridge Compatibility

  • Correct Cartridge: Verify that the newly installed cartridge is compatible with the HP OfficeJet 4620. Use HP 564 ink cartridges, as these are designed for your printer model.

Clean Cartridge Contacts

  • Contact Cleaning: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Carefully remove the cartridges and use a lint-free cloth slightly moistened with distilled water to clean the gold colored contacts on the cartridges. Let them dry completely before reinserting.

Reset the Printer

  • Power Cycle: Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet. Wait for at least 60 seconds, then reconnect the power cord and turn the printer back on.

Update Printer Firmware

  • Firmware: Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer. Visit the HP Support website to download and install the latest firmware updates for your printer model.

Use Genuine HP Cartridges

  • HP Cartridges: Ensure that you are using official HP cartridges, as third-party or refilled cartridges can cause compatibility issues and might not be detected properly.
