CP1215
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

CP1215 black cartridge replacement indicator was on. I replaced it with a new HP cartridge and it still didn't go off. I followed online trouble shooting -- unplugged the power cord, shook the cartridge, etc. Still no luck. Is there any hope for fixing this printer?

@clabash, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Make sure the protective tape if any on the new ink cartridge is removed before placing it in the printer.

Also, perform the steps mentioned in this document - 'Install Black Cartridge' Displays

If the issue persists, this could be a hardware failure. Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
