Hi @Mihirskamdar,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To calibrate the colors on your HP 725 printer and resolve issues with color accuracy, such as not printing yellow and reds looking purple, follow these steps:
Check Ink Levels:
- Ensure that all ink cartridges, especially the yellow one, have sufficient ink. Low or empty cartridges can cause color issues.
- Replace any low or empty cartridges if necessary.
Clean the Printhead:
- From your printer's control panel, navigate to the maintenance or tools menu.
- Select the option to clean the printhead. This process may vary depending on your printer model, so consult your printer’s manual if needed.
- Repeat the cleaning process if the first cleaning does not resolve the issue.
Align the Printhead:
- Aligning the printhead can help improve print quality. From the printer's control panel, find the printhead alignment option under the maintenance or tools menu.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the alignment process.
Run a Color Calibration:
- Some HP printers have a color calibration option that can help improve color accuracy. Check your printer's manual for instructions on how to run a color calibration.
- If available, access the color calibration tool from the printer's control panel or the HP printer software on your computer.
Update Printer Firmware and Drivers:
- Ensure your printer's firmware is up-to-date. Check HP’s website for any available firmware updates for your HP 725 printer.
- Also, update the printer drivers on your computer. Download the latest drivers from the HP support website.
Check Print Settings:
- Verify that the print settings on your computer are correct. Ensure you have selected the correct paper type and print quality settings in the print dialog box.
- Check the color settings and ensure that they are set to default or automatic.
Print a Test Page:
- Print a test page to check the color output. Many HP printers have an option to print a test page from the maintenance menu.
- Analyze the test page to see if the color issue persists.
Inspect the Ink Cartridges:
- Remove the ink cartridges and check for any blockages or issues with the nozzles.
- Clean the nozzles with a lint-free cloth and distilled water if you notice any clogs or dried ink.
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
- This can sometimes resolve software or firmware glitches.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
