Can I Return Unused Instant Ink Cartridges for Refund? My printer has broken and all the new printers I am looking at don't use the same ink.

Short Answer:  No

Explanation:

The Instant Ink cartridges are yours to use while the subscription to the service is active.

HP retains ownership of the cartridges.

After the contract is terminated, all HP Instant Ink cartridges are supposed to have been removed from the printer and returned to HP according to the terms of your contract.  See section about Cancellation / Canceling the contract.

Instant Ink cartridges lock after the contract is terminated and cannot be used again in any printer.

Important:  A broken printer does not cancel the service.

You must cancel deliberately

OR

If payment lapses, HP will terminate the contract for lack of payment

OR

You will continue to be charged the subscription fee until you cancel
