Can I get a replacement for the faulty HP67 XL cartridge I have just bought?

I recently bought a 67XL black ink cartridge from a retailer called  'the Warehouse' in New Zealand. I get an error message saying the cartridge and the printer (HP Envy 6020) cannot communicate with each other. I have followed all the instructions (cleaning woith distilled water twice and resetting the printer). The problem remains. I think it is the cartridge that is faulty and not my rpinter because the printer happily commnicates with the old cartridge that I took out. Do I take the cartridge back to the Warehouse for a replacement or do I go direct to HP? Excuse typos - I can't seem to correct them!

Return it to the seller.

If you buy milk in a store and you get home and figure that the milk is bad, you return it to the store, not to the milk company.
