I recently (5/12) cancelled my instant ink subscription not realizing that I wouldn't be able to use the cartridges I have now until they run out (my fault for not reading). My account says "Not enrolled" therefore the cancellation has been completed. I have gone through the steps of re enrolling my printer about 5 times now and it won't work. One of the times I tried, it said "this printer is already enrolled" but when I went to my overview, the status was still "Not enrolled" even after refreshing numerous times. I'm not sure what else I can do. Thanks.

There is perhaps a period of time in between final billing and service termination and the ability to come back and enroll into the service again.  No, I don't know how much time is involved, though it does appear you've tripped over something that is preventing the enrollment process from going forward.

 

The cycle of not being able use the remaining ink in the Instant Ink cartridges will go on indefinitely unless you either stay cancelled or stay subscribed.

 

That just means that if you don't want to be subscribed to the service, you can - as you have done -- cancel the service.

 

As a consequence of cancelling, also learned, you must remove all instant Ink cartridges and return those to HP.

 

What? 

You never paid for the Ink sent to you as part of the Instant Ink subscription.

 

The Instant Ink subscription model is based on "pages printed" -- the number of pages vary by plan.

Ink - regardless of how much or how little is necessary - is included while the subscription is active.

 

What to do?

If you are not enrolled - regardless of how it came about --

If you cannot print, cannot enroll, and you need to print now,

(then)

Remove all the Instant Ink cartridges from the printer,

Purchase and install a set of HP ink cartridges.

 

OR

Faster than waiting here in the Community:

Contact >> HP Instant Ink Support   

 

True >  You will perhaps have to wait until regular business days / hours for your region.

I’m having this problem. I have never enrolled before but it says I’m already enrolled. Once I got as far as delivery address but I couldn’t change from USA to uk. There’s no way to contact anyone so I’ve reset my printer and started all over again but still says already enrolled. Infuriating. Surely HP  have a uk only website. I can’t find one.
