The printer is skipping the middle of pages. I understand I need to run a configuration page, but I don't know how to find the printer control panel/menu to request the page. I only see how to make a copy, choose the number of copies, choose wifi and power it on and off. How can I access the menu?

Hi @Huha,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding skipped prints on your HP LaserJet MFP M140w!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Using Printer Buttons:
- Control Panel: The control panel of the HP LaserJet MFP M140w includes buttons for making copies, choosing the number of copies, selecting Wi-Fi, and powering the printer on and off. For more advanced settings and configurations, such as running a configuration page, you would typically access the Embedded Web Server (EWS) via a computer.
Embedded Web Server:
The Embedded Web Server allows you to manage and configure various settings of your printer from a web browser. Here’s how to access it:
Obtain the Printer’s IP Address:
- Make sure the printer is connected to your network.
- Press the Wi-Fi button on the printer. This should display or print a summary page that includes the printer’s IP address.
Open a Web Browser:
- On your computer, open an internet browser.
Enter the Printer's IP Address:
- Type the IP address into the browser’s address bar (e.g., http://123.123.123.123).
- Press Enter to go to the Embedded Web Server interface.
Access Configuration:
- In the Embedded Web Server, navigate through the menus to find options related to printing test pages or configuration pages. Look for options under maintenance or troubleshooting.
While waiting for detailed instructions from the Embedded Web Server, you might try the following steps to address the issue:
Check Print Settings: Ensure the print settings on your computer are correctly configured, especially the paper type and print quality settings.
Run a Print Quality Diagnostic Report:
- If accessible through the Embedded Web Server or printer software, run a print quality diagnostic report to identify and resolve any printing issues.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in and turn it on to see if the issue resolves.
I hope this helps.
I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍✨
Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀
