I cannot find replacements for my HP 4729 printer. The cartridge is 46 (CZ637AL black & CZ638A tri color).
What's the deal? Is it now to the point that you do not replace cartridges, just buy a new printer when the ink runs out?

@Sergio-Pinto,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

I know the following links are from a Puorto Rican-based company and not from your country, but I wanted to illustrate that the 46 (CZ637AL Black & CZ638A Tri-Color) ink cartridges are still widely available via eCommerce sites, just not through HP: https://datasuppliespr.com/product/hp-deskjet-advantage-ultr-25294729-black-ink-46-cz637al and: https://datasuppliespr.com/product/hp-deskjet-advantage-ultr-25294729-tri-color-ink-cz638al.

The reason why this is so, is because these ink cartridges are somewhat dated: for example, your HP DeskJet Ink Advantage Ultra 4729 All-in-One Printer was first released in 2015, and like virtually every tech company, HP manufactures newer and more advanced printer technologies often with different and newly designed cartridges.  They cannot stock every ink/toner/dye-based cartridge ever invented, if only because demand for older cartridges goes down significantly over time.

Kind Regards,
