Cannot get Hp printer 9015E to accept HP cyan cartridge after first trying to use a non HP cartridge.  Have cleaned the contacts on the cartridge and the unit that the cartridge slides into.  Have also reset printer and unplugged as well.  Im willing to buy a new cartrige again, but worry that I'll have the same problem.

How do I fix this?

Try a factory restore

To restore the printer to the original factory defaults 1. From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ). 2. Touch Printer Maintenance . 3. Touch Restore. 4. Touch Restore Factory Defaults. A message appears stating that the factory defaults will be restored. 5. Touch Continue.

 

Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord from the printer. Press the on button several times. Wait 10 seconds and power back up.

 


To check if an HP ink cartridge is genuine, look for a security label on the cartridge, scan the QR code on the label with your phone, and then go to HP's website hp.com/go/ok to verify the serial number on the label; if the label appears tampered or the serial number doesn't validate, the cartridge is likely not genuine.


Non HP ink can be used on this list of HP printers.
