  • Hp 7602r smart tank
  • get error cartridge or account error. Bought used. How do i correct this error? Any ideas i have tried factory reset, went through setup several times. Every time i try printing anything it comes up with this error and the only option is to click on the then it cancels the print job.

When encountering a cartridge or account error with your HP 7602r Smart Tank printer, there are several troubleshooting steps you can take to resolve the issue:

 

Verify Cartridge Compatibility:
 

  • Ensure that the cartridges installed in the printer are compatible and genuine HP cartridges. Using non-genuine or incompatible cartridges can often trigger errors.


Reinstall Cartridges:
 

  • Power off the printer and unplug it.
  • Open the cartridge access door and carefully remove the cartridges.
  • Reinstall the cartridges firmly and correctly seated.
  • Close the cartridge access door, plug the printer back in, and turn it on.


Account Verification:
 

  • If the printer is linked to an HP Instant Ink account, ensure that the printer settings and account details are correct.
     
  • Sign in to your HP Instant Ink account to verify your account status and make sure that there are no issues, such as payment problems.


Check for Firmware Updates:
 

  • Make sure the printer has the latest firmware installed, as updates can solve many compatibility and performance issues.
  • Visit the Official HP® Support to find and install firmware updates.
