HI @Ksmith12,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds frustrating to have trouble connecting your DeskJet 2810e to the Instant Ink plan. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

1. Check Internet Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer or mobile device.

2. Update Printer Firmware:

  • Make sure your printer's firmware is up to date. You can check for updates through the HP Smart app or the HP Support website.

3. Use the HP Smart App:

  • Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device, and follow the prompts to connect to the Instant Ink plan. Sometimes, using the app can streamline the process.

4. Reboot Printer and Router:

  • Turn off your printer and unplug it. Restart your router as well. After a minute, plug the printer back in and turn it on.

5. Log Into Your HP Account:

  • Make sure you are logged into your HP account when attempting to connect to the Instant Ink plan. You may need to create an account if you haven't already.

6. Remove and Re-add Printer:

  • In the HP Smart app, remove the printer and then re-add it. This can sometimes resolve connection issues.

7. Check for Error Messages:

  • If there are specific error messages displayed, look them up on the HP support site for troubleshooting tips.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
