HP Smart Tank Plus 651 Wireless All-in-One

This is a follow up to a previous issue I reported with my Smart Tank Plus 651. I turned it on today, and the printheads have moved to the center, and I was able to remove the cartridges to clean them. However, I saw the following message on my printer's screen:

Carriage Jam

The print carriage cannot move. Check for paper jams or other obstructions, and make sure the printhead latch is closed.

I followed the instructions. There were no obstructions that I could see, and I made sure the latch was closed, but the message still comes up. There is one clue: when I put paper into the usual place, it goes down farther than it should.

I'd be happy to help you!

If you have performed all the steps mentioned in this document and still having issues, then the printer might need service.

I would request you to reach out to our phone support and the support team can check the out-of-warranty service options.

For that to happen, we will give you additional instructions/information via Private Message.

Please check your inbox on the forums page for the private message.
