Hi @Bauerld,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e is indicating that cartridges are missing despite all being properly installed, you can try the following troubleshooting steps.

Check Cartridge Installation

  • Remove and Reinstall Cartridges: Power off the printer, then remove each cartridge and reinsert them to ensure they are seated correctly.
  • Check for Packaging: Ensure that all protective packaging (like tape or plastic seals) has been removed from the cartridges.

Clean the Cartridge Contacts

  • Power Off the Printer: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Remove Cartridges: Take out the cartridges again.
  • Clean the Contacts: Use a lint-free cloth or a cotton swab slightly moistened with distilled water to gently clean the copper contacts on the cartridges and inside the printer where they connect. Ensure everything is dry before reinstalling.

Check Printer Firmware

  • Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date. You can check for updates via the HP Smart app or the printer's control panel.

Reset the Printer

  • Power Cycle: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Restore Factory Defaults: If the problem persists, you may consider resetting the printer to its factory settings via the settings menu on the control panel.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool. It can help diagnose and fix common printing issues.

Replace Cartridges

  • If none of the above solutions work, try replacing the cartridges with new, genuine HP cartridges to see if that resolves the issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
