My ink will not connect with my printer, I've tried everything the virtual assistant told me to do. I've had this same problem before. I really don't want to change brands but this is getting frustrating.

@Help270, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your cartridge issues!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand how frustrating this must be, especially since it’s a recurring issue. Let’s try a few additional troubleshooting steps:

  1. Check Cartridge Compatibility – Ensure you're using HP genuine ink cartridges that are compatible with your printer model.
  2. Remove and Reinsert the Cartridges – Power off the printer, remove the ink cartridges, wait for a minute, and reinsert them firmly.
  3. Clean the Cartridge Contacts – Use a lint-free cloth with a bit of distilled water to gently wipe the copper contacts on the ink cartridge and the corresponding contacts inside the printer.
  4. Reset the Printer – Turn off the printer, unplug it from power for 60 seconds, then turn it back on and try again.
  5. Update Printer Firmware – If your printer supports firmware updates, check HP website for the latest version and update accordingly.
  6. Check Network Connection – If you're using an Instant Ink-enabled printer, ensure the printer is connected to Wi-Fi correctly.

If you've already tried these and the issue persists, let me know your printer model, and I’ll guide you with more specific troubleshooting!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
