The magenta cartridge leaked into the cartridge bay on HP OfficeJet Pro 8720. This was a genuine HP cartridge and I have only ever used HP cartridges. I cleanup up the bay as best I could and installed a new magenta cartridge. Printer then indicated that yellow cartridge was empty, but I know it was a fairly new cartridge,. I replaced the yellow cartridge anyway. Then printer indicated the cyan cartridge was empty - again a fairly new cartridge. I cleaned up the bay again and made sure that the electrical contacts were clean. But it seems no matter what cartridge I put in, it says the cartridge is empty - so I can't print. I tried turning the printer off and on again. Same result, Time for a new (non-HP) printer?
